Instrumental Play, Workshops, Storytelling & Concerts

From early rhythmical tippy toes to playing a first piano chord our music activities turn intrinsic wonder into musical confidence. Through movement rich appreciation classes, instrumental exploration and later playful piano clubs, children develop coordination, listening skills and academic curiosity. Loved adults interact and observe their child’s development through the shared joy that is music.

Music and Movement

Through structured musical play activities babies and young children develop, communicate and learn. Babies are intrinsically musical! Developing requisite early skills is both joyful and interactive with families gaining an insight to the significance of music in children's overall development. Morning classes involve beautifully crafted instruments, colourful visuals and puppets with dancing, singing, playing and musical reflection.

Music Appreciation

Nursery ages develop musical comprehension with a pre-curriculum framework involving instrumental play, imaginative storytelling and using music notation with movement and dancing.  Nurturing vocalising and language is an essential foundation to early music making with children later gaining the confidence to learn an instrument, create their own compositions and performing.

Saturday Piano Club

Group piano sessions are ideal for providing an early introduction to the piano and reading music. With a maximum of six per class children develop early piano technique, music comprehension, appreciate different genres, listening to each other and perform. These clubs are carefully structured to give children a joyful insight to instrumental learning whilst retaining a classical framework to music education.

An innate understanding of music is taught using a structured framework to capture all areas of development including listening, musical coordination, early notation and playing as an effective instrumental group. Bespoke topics such as Travel helps to fine tune sound discrimination and early composition. Notable links to early curriculum includes mathematics, understanding the world and science.
