Unlocking Musicality in Early Childhood
Training for educators, nannies & childminders. Since 1994 Music House Education has delivered courses and resources sharing accessible skills to empower educators, nannies and carers to nurture children’s early musical growth. Carefully devised materials and resources support meaningful interaction often with lasting and positive outcomes. Our courses provide an ideal music module to childcare training programmes, courses and university study. In person training is available.

What People Say About our Training
"Emma shows us how we can use all sorts of resources to work into the structure of lessons. I would highly recommend her courses to you. She has spent many years developing face-to-face training to the online platform. They will be a huge source of inspiration."
Charlotte Leng Head of Primary Music, British International School, Malaysia
"I used some of the techniques shown in Emma’s training. When starting our field placement I managed to use some of the music exercises which the children loved."
Shantelle Bugeja, Malta University 2022
"Thank you also for everything you have done for me here at the Music House for Children. I have learned so much and I always felt supported at your lovely school."
Jesse N.
"Children’s vocalisations are more refined, often more creative and imaginative when they use all their senses, are emotionally engaged and have been moving their whole bodies.
When leaders allowed the children to lead and responded to their vocalisations and interests, there were unexpected levels of musical attunement and harmony as well as ‘conversations’ where they sparked each other’s ideas."
Daisis, Devon

Past Teachers
For over 3 decades we have mentored and trained educators, many of whom now lead their own early childhood music programmes. Our extended brilliant team is a living proof that music provides so much more than simply learning. Together we champion children and young people’s right to high quality music and multi-arts opportunities. We support the next generation in musically creative pathways on their journey to adulthood. Meet some of our amazing alumni and extended family who continue to share our ethos and vision.
